Born on Earth Day, Taylor attempted to be an environmentalist by asking her parents to turn off the lights in the laundry room when they weren’t using it. A future with Greenpeace was interrupted by Taylor’s discovery of the internet, which initially meant obsessing over the X-Files and learning basic HTML but eventually led to employment at several websites interested in sharing information with the larger world, even if said world was far more interested in cat photos. Taylor is also the proud second owner of a 50-year-old deep blue bicycle declared “an absolute beauty” and “amazing” by Jerry at Bicycle Space DC. She is now just realizing her complete lack of hobbies.<\/p>\n

Adam<\/strong><\/p>\n

Raised among the Great Lakes, Adam spent his formative years joining competitive science and debating meets, where he mingled with social and political malcontents. Immersion in these environments prepared Adam to move to Washington, DC, the official capital of adult snowdays.<\/p>\n

Having little history of previous athletic achievement, Adam opted to begin distance running while interning at a Philadelphia newspaper\u2014during a heatwave. This decision has lead Adam on several circuitous multi-state van trips with a dozen sweaty, insane people. Adam proudly owns a blue bike surprisingly similar to the bride\u2019s, except that its 1970s origins make it a perfect match to his stunning leisure pants.<\/p>\n

How they met<\/strong><\/p>\n

While Taylor and Adam first officially crossed paths in the summer of 2007, they would not become truly friends until Adam joined the Michigan diaspora in Washington DC a year later. After six months of Taylor not realizing she was being asked on dates, things came to a head at a work Christmas party attended by a delightful baby and\u00a0John Bolton’s\u00a0mustache.
